Becoming the best YOU that you can be

“Gentlemen, you are leaders.  You will be most effective when you lead by example.  You must be the example for your men to follow.” ~ Master Sargent Harley Kaiser

I have been reading Reinventing Leadership, by Warren G. Bennis and Robert Townsend, the book is written as a conversational dialog between the two authors.  Tonight as I was nonchalantly perusing the content, I came across this profound section from Warren:
"
How do you become the best "you" possible, to be an effective leader?

All of the leaders I talked with agreed that no one can teach you how to become yourself, to take charge, to express yourself, except you.  But there are some things that others have done that are useful to think about in the process.

The Four Lessons of Self-Knowlage:
(1) You are your own best teacher.
(2) Accept responsibility; blame no one.
(3) You can learn anything you want to learn.
(4) True understanding comes from reflecting on your own experience.
" ~ Reinventing Leadership(pg. 38)

Being the best that you can be starts with your attitude, it starts within YOU,

Sincerely,

"7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ" ~ Ephesians 1:7-9
